The team consisted of Tasmanian driver Sam Well ( Modified ), Melbourne driver John Watkins ( Modified ) and Local driver Nigel Spokes ( Stock ), SA driver Marco Cianfrone ( modified ) All drivers with the exception of Marco were running the XB4 2015 spec model. Drivers unfortunately turned up to the track on Friday morning to find overnight rain had made the clay surface very sticky and muddy, this resulted in practise being shorted and only available from 2pm to Dusk.

Local Driver Nigel spokes unlucky not to make the A mains even with 2 top 10 runs in round 3 and 4 and unfortunately he was to be rewarded with BQ for his efforts.
By Sunday the bumpy clay track had developed a very deep groove making for what was to be an excellent days racing across all classes.

Finals time and Qld driver Mitchell Steer (Yokomo) was in a league of his own taking wins in A1 and A2 and secured the overall title. Well’s fought hard all day in the mains pushing Ray Munday (AE) and Anthony Campbell (Yokomo)all the way to the line in most cases in all mains. Wells drove a superb A3 to take a very narrow win over Munday and secure himself the second place on the podium for the day. Watkins was to finish 6th after a good run in A3 also.

Thanks to all the guys at the club to run such a precise event and to the track crew who worked hard to prepare a solid track despite all the moisture in the lead up.
